Lentil Stew with Roast Vegetables,
Flomaria Pasta with Hearty Mushroom Sauce
and my first guest post!

I'm super excited this morning to have written my very first guest post for Maria Hannaford on her lovely blog Econest.

I've featured two of my favourite recipes: Lentil Stew with Roast Vegetables and Flomaria Pasta with Hearty Mushroom Sauce and talk a little about how healthy the Mediterranean diet really is.

Maria also has a plethora of ideas and advice about maintaining a healthy, sustainable lifestyle so please take some time to meander through her blog.

This weekend I'm planning on giving home-made filo pastry my best shot with a recipe for Cheese and Leek Pie (Prasopita). Wish me luck!

  1. Oh congrats! It's always fun to guest post - kind of like going on a blog holiday where you can meet new people (via the new audience/comments). Love the look of that chunky mushroom sauce!

    1. Thanks Christie! The mushroom sauce is so rich and earthy. It can also be blended with some vegetable stock and a bit of cream to make a gorgeous soup.

  4. Good luck Lisa!
I'm not a big fan of lentils, so I will get the dish with pasta and the wonderful sauce with mushrooms.
Have a "kali Anastasi" and Happy Easter.

    1. Thank you Mina and happy Greek Easter to you too! I was going to try and make my first Tsoureki tonight but I am still sick and coughing a lot and I don't want to risk infecting the dough! Your tsoureki on your blog looks so beautiful... Have a lovely weekend :)

    1. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to play with filo pastry this weekend. I've been struck by a terrible cold, coughing relentlessly, and not in any state to cook :( ... It's such a shame because I made a batch of ricotta on Friday especially for the cheese and leek pie and it will probably only keep for another day at the most. Hopefully tomorrow the cough will start waving bye-bye because I've just about had enough of it and the sleepless nights! Thank you for the lovely comment though Nicole :) and sorry to be using the comments box to have a whinge!! I'm such a baby when I'm sick...
